Compassionate, Trauma-Informed Therapy Rooted in Experience and Depth
Jackie Small
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut with over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist. My professional journey has taken me across a wide range of settings—including community agencies, medical systems, and schools—where I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals through life’s most complex and painful challenges.
Over the course of my career, I have devoted myself to the study and practice of somatic psychotherapy, trauma treatment, and attachment theory. These guiding frameworks inform my approach and allow me to support clients in a way that honors both the emotional and physiological impact of trauma.
My work centers on helping adults deepen their self-awareness, identify what may be blocking their growth, and safely explore the root causes of those blocks. I create a therapeutic space where you can go deeper—at your own pace and with the right support. Healing is not just about symptom relief; it’s about reconnecting with yourself, your body, and your sense of agency.
I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming care. I welcome individuals of all ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds, along with members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Whether you’re seeking healing from trauma, navigating life transitions, or simply yearning for a more authentic connection to yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Let’s begin the work together.
